1- Partenon, Acropolis
Located on the top of the Acropolis, the Parthenon is a memorial dedicated to the goddess Athena. Parthenon, one of the first examples of temples built in the mid-15th century, was built in place of an old temple which was actually destroyed by the Persians. Athena in the temple is made of sculpture, ivory, silver and gold. However, this precious statue was stolen from the temple and later disintegrated.
