Name of the resistance: Izzeddin al-Kassam Brigades
The Palestinian armed group, whose name comes from Sheikh Izzeddin al-Kassam, who lost his life while struggling against British colonialism, is characterized by its characteristic features.
Izzeddin al-Kassam Brigades (Kassam) is now carrying an army as the armed wing of the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), whose resistance in 1992 began with a modest rifle against Israel's invasion of the Palestinian Authority.
Kassam took his life from the Syrian Palestinian leader Sheikh Izzeddin al-Kassam in 1935 while his name was armed struggle against British colonialism in Palestine.
After the increase in Hamas's military strength, in 1992 the organization decided to establish a armed resistance faction, in the name of the Brigades of Izzeddin al-Kassam.
Before the establishment of Kassam, Hamas, the Muslim Brotherhood Organization in Gaza (ihwan), "Majd", "Palestinian Mujahideen"
STRATEGIES AND STRUCTURES
Brigades announced on January 1, 1992, that it was Hamas's armed wing, with the first statement issued by a cell affiliated to them. Brigades, contrary to the pre-80 Palestinian Marxist groups, are adopting action only in the Palestinian territory as a strategy.

4 TUGAY YES
According to Kassam's statement, al-Kassam has four brigades in the army, including the "North Strip Brigade", "Gaza Brigade", "Middle Brigade" and "Southern Brigade".
Al-Qassam Brigades began their military work initially with a gun and then with a rifle. Following the automated weaponry produced by local governments, he developed bombs and remote controlled explosive production alongside some explosives.
FIRST BREAK KASSAM 1
The Sderot Jewish Settlement District in the south of Israel was the target for the first phase launched by al-Qassam Brigades on October 26,
Known as "Kassam 1," the Time magazine described the Palestinians as reaching the point where they could use the rocket as a weapon and described it as a "primitive rocket with the possibility to change the Middle East".
Hamas later developed the rocket with a quick technical work and produced a new model called "Kassam 2". Kassam used this rocket for the first time in February 2002.
The resistance movement in Gaza has widened the circle of rocket launches and has the potential to produce rockets with a radius of 80 kilometers.
Al-Qassam Brigades have begun to develop rockets that reach longer distances, giving priority to technical work in local production. Israel launched its rocket in 2012, when it attacked Gaza, followed by R160, which was named M75 and lastly used in 2014 for Hayfa.
MANUFACTURING OF HUMIDIFIED AIR VEHICLES
On July 14, 2014, Kassam announced that he "made a qualified breakthrough" and announced that his engineers produced unmanned aerial vehicles. Noting that, Kassam explained that "Israel produced three types of aircraft to carry out specific missions in the air."
While al-Qassam Brigades give an army-like image, it reveals that it has many more specialized units, such as the Engineering unit, the Air Defense unit, the Artillery unit, the Fedailer unit, and the Logistics unit.
A raid on the "Intelligence Military Base" in the Ashkelon (Askalan) region in the southern western part of Israel during the "Protective Line" military operation that Israel launched against Gaza on July 7th is called al-Kassam "Turtle Man"
Al-Kassam claims for the first time that they have succeeded in producing armor-piercing rockets such as "Bettar" and "Yasin", and that they have the opportunity to produce explosive bombs that make the Israeli-made Merkava Tank unusable.
GİLAD ŞALİT PERFORMED
In addition, the Brigades have done many operations such as capturing soldiers. The most important of these was the capture of Israeli prisoner Gilad Shalit in 2005 and thus the release of a thousand Palestinians by making a treaty with Israel.
Kassam not only had the opportunity to oppose Israel in the war against Gaza (2008 and 2012) but also suffered great losses to the Israeli Army, which had great technological possibilities.
Izzeddin al-Kassam Brigades is known as one of the most important military defense units in the city since July 7, which is trying to defend Gaza against Israeli air, sea and land-based military operations.
